How to check the Judiciary's hearing schedule
Subject matter, venue and a date window under a month: the three fields of the Consulta de Audiencias, the only structured channel that reaches criminal courts.

The Consulta de Audiencias (consultaaudiencias.poderjudicial.gub.uy) is the Uruguayan Judiciary’s second structured court channel, and the only one that reaches the criminal courts with dated hearings: the by-IUE web service that looks up case files does not cover criminal matters.
It's an application with no login, no registration and no captcha, but with three required fields that must be filled in order: subject matter, venue, and a date window under a month.
There's no "all venues" option: the country has 120 criminal venues, and each query returns one venue's schedule at a time.
What the form asks, in order
All three fields are required and depend on each other: choosing the subject matter enables the venue list, and without a venue there's no query.

The catalogue has nine subject areas. Custodio sweeps only «Penal 2017», where the 120 criminal venues are, because the other eight are already answered by the by-IUE lookup, case file by case file.
The venue
It's required: without choosing one, the system replies "you must select a venue" and there's no "all venues in the country" option.
The date window
It must be under a month; a wider window is also rejected, inside a reply that looks successful.
The result arrives as a grid, venue by venue: querying the whole country means repeating the query 120 times.

Open the Consulta de Audiencias
The system is a Judiciary application with no login, no registration and no captcha.
Choose the subject matter
It enables the list of venues available for that subject matter; without it, there's no venue list to pick from.
Choose the venue and the date window
The venue is required and the window must be under a month.
Read the results grid
Each row carries the time, date, IUE and caption of the hearing set for that venue.

- Nothing else: the grid carries no case status or docket entries, only the hearing schedule.
What the Consulta de Audiencias doesn't do
Before writing off a search as empty, these limits are worth knowing.
- There's no "all venues": you have to query venue by venue, and the country has 120 criminal venues.
- The date window cannot exceed a month; looking further ahead means repeating the query.
- It does not search by IUE or by party: the lookup goes in by subject area, venue and dates, and the IUE only appears inside each row.
- It does not compute the case's status: that requires the by-IUE lookup, a separate tool from the same Judiciary.
Going venue by venue, subject by subject, is exactly the work an automatic sweep replaces.
Frequently asked questions about the Consulta de Audiencias
Can I see every hearing in the country in one query?
No: you have to choose a venue. The system offers no "all venues" option, and without choosing one it returns a message asking you to select one.
Why does Custodio sweep only the «Penal 2017» subject area in Uruguay?
Because it is the one the by-IUE lookup cannot see: that is where the Ley 19.293 adversarial process and the 120 criminal venues are. The catalogue’s other eight subject areas are already looked up case file by case file by their IUE.
Does the Consulta de Audiencias replace the by-IUE lookup?
No: they're two systems from the same Judiciary. The Consulta de Audiencias schedules hearings by venue; the by-IUE lookup — this site's sister guide — returns the case's status.
Why does my query with a wide date window return nothing?
The system rejects a window of a month or more, inside a reply that looks successful. It's best to keep it under a month and repeat the query to look further ahead.
