The risk is not finding out late: it is citing something that does not exist
Between September 2025 and April 2026 Argentine courts issued eleven rulings over filings that cited case law which does not exist. The pattern was not the fine: in five of the eleven the consequence was a referral to the bar association's ethics tribunal, plus the loss of fees for useless work.
That is why Custodio does not invent. It works over your matter's documents and over what the court published, never over the open web, and every statement comes with the citation of the document it came from, which opens in one click and is logged. What is not in the case file, it does not say.

The Argentine number is written in two forms depending on the jurisdiction, long and short. Custodio takes both and normalizes it before looking it up, so you paste it however you wrote it down.

The case title, the court where the file currently sits and every filing with its date and its type, in the jurisdictions whose public lookup is open.

We say it in full and by name, because it is what decides whether the product is useful to you today. The daily lookup reaches four jurisdictions:
City of Buenos Aires
The city's own local courts, the ones running on the judicial case file system of the City of Buenos Aires.
Catamarca
The case lookup published by the Judiciary of Catamarca.
Mendoza
The case lookup published by the Judiciary of Mendoza.
Salta
The case lookup published by the Judiciary of Salta.
And what is not: the federal Judiciary, where much of the civil, commercial and employment litigation of Buenos Aires is heard, and the province of Buenos Aires. Custodio reads neither of the two.
We give no date for either: what cannot be read today is not promised. If your whole caseload sits in the federal courts or in the province, the daily lookup is not useful to you yet; the artificial intelligence over the documents you upload is, and it works on day one in any court in the country.
One price list, in US dollars
Custodio charges in US dollars in every market and your bank converts on the day of the charge. Under the dollar price you will see an informative reference in pesos, with the date of the rate behind it.
There is something specific to Argentina worth knowing before you subscribe: on top of the list price, the buyer is charged VAT on digital services, the turnover tax withholding of their own jurisdiction, and the RG 5617 withholding, which is a credit against income or wealth tax and is therefore recoverable. How much ends up as cost depends on how you are taxed. It is not a Custodio charge and it is not something we file for you; we say it here so it does not turn up as a surprise on the first statement.

What exactly does the artificial intelligence do?
It extracts the facts of every ruling and every document, says where the matter stands and what changed with the latest filing, and writes draft filings in Word. It also answers questions in plain language over your matter's documents. Nothing is sent to anyone: you review it, correct it and sign it.
What stops it from inventing a citation?
Because it answers over your documents and over what the court published, never over the open web, and every answer carries the document it came from, which opens in one click. If the fact is not in the case file, the answer says so instead of filling it in.
Is it useful if my case files are in the federal courts or in the province of Buenos Aires?
For the daily lookup, not yet: it reaches the local courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Mendoza and Salta. Everything else — the artificial intelligence over the documents you upload, the drafts, running the practice — works the same in any court in the country.
How is the CUIJ written?
It depends on the jurisdiction: the City of Buenos Aires and Catamarca write it long, with a letter, year and suffix, and Mendoza and Salta write it short. Custodio takes both forms. The check digit matters: with one digit changed, the lookup answers exactly as it does for a case file that does not exist.
Does the price include Argentine taxes?
No, and Custodio charges none of them. On top of the dollar price your card adds VAT on digital services, the turnover tax withholding of your jurisdiction, and the RG 5617 withholding, which is a credit and is recovered. What it ends up costing depends on how you are taxed, and that is your accountant's call.
