Custodio reads the documents of your case and does the work that comes next: it tells you which ruling is new and where the matter stands, answers your questions citing the document each answer comes from, and leaves the draft started. The daily lookup by CNJ case number is what feeds it, in the courts that publish their lookup through e-SAJ.
The risk is not finding out late: it is citing an acórdão that does not exist
A language model asked about the law from memory invents, and it invents with a number, a year and a reporting judge. We measured ours in Brazilian legal Portuguese on 13 September 2026: asked with no text in front of it, it invented citations. With the case documents in front of it, across eighteen answers over delivered documents, it invented no article, no date and no filing, and in four of them it said the fact was not in the documents instead of filling it in.
That is why Custodio does not answer from memory. It works over your case documents and over what the court published, never over the open web, and every statement comes with the citation of the document it came from, which opens in one click and is logged. What is not in the case file, it does not say.
From the CNJ number to the draft, in four steps
You enter the number
The CNJ unified case number is national and written the same way across the country. You paste it however you wrote it down, with dots or without them, and Custodio normalizes it before looking it up.
It is looked up every day
The class, the subject, the forum and the court where the case sits today, the parties with their side, and every movimentação with its date and its type, in the courts whose e-SAJ lookup is open.
The artificial intelligence reads it
It extracts the facts of the ruling, says what changed and where the matter stands and shows next to it the document each statement came from.
And leaves the work started
The draft filing in Word to review and sign, the answer to your question with the citation behind it, and the deadline in your calendar before it slips.

Which cases are watched, and which are not
We say it in full and up front, because it is what decides whether the product is useful to you today. Brazil has no single national door standing open: each court publishes its own lookup, and Custodio reads the courts that publish theirs through e-SAJ.
The e-SAJ case lookup
That is where the first-instance case record comes from: class, subject, forum, court, amount in dispute, the parties with their lawyers and the table of movimentações with their dates.

The other courts with e-SAJ open
We are not giving a court-by-court list yet. We are measuring them one at a time, and we would rather not name a lookup we have not opened ourselves.
What you upload
Everything the artificial intelligence does over your case documents works on day one, in any court in the country, whether or not there is a public lookup.
And what is not: the intimações of the DJEN, the national channel of the Poder Judiciário, which cannot be read from outside Brazil; and DataJud, the CNJ's national case database, whose terms of use do not allow commercial use. Custodio reads neither of the two, so you have to keep watching your DJEN the way you watch it today.
We give no date for either: what cannot be read today is not promised. And Custodio not recording a movimentação is no proof that there was none: if the court's portal did not publish it, we do not see it either.
One price list, in US dollars
Custodio charges in US dollars in every market and your bank converts on the day of the charge. Under the dollar price, when there is a rate for the day, you will see an informative reference in reais with the date of the rate behind it. Payment is by international card: a Brazilian card without the international function enabled will not work.
There is something specific to Brazil worth knowing before you subscribe: paying with an international card, the issuing institution today settles the IOF, 3.5% on top of the list price, the lowest surcharge of the seven countries where we measured it, and the rate is under litigation and could go back to 6.38%. From 1 January 2027 one more line may be added: we are not registered in the Brazilian IBS and CBS cadastre, and without that registration the institution carrying out the exchange may withhold those two taxes on your payment, on top of the price and of the IOF (LC 214/2025, art. 23 parágrafo único). If instead your firm formalizes the import of the service, it also bears the IRRF, the CIDE, the PIS and the COFINS on imports and your municipality's ISS: between 15.9% and 52% more, depending on how the service is classified and which rate your municipality applies. It is not a Custodio charge and it is not something we file for you; check it with your accountant before you subscribe.
And one dated notice that is not up to you: from 2027, if the foreign supplier is not registered in the IBS and CBS cadastre, the institution handling the currency exchange withholds those two taxes on the remittance, on top of the list price. That is a decision of ours which is open and closes in December 2026; this page will say whatever gets decided.

What exactly does the artificial intelligence do?

It also answers questions in plain language over your case documents. Nothing is filed on its own: you review it, correct it and sign it.
What stops it from inventing an acórdão?
That it does not answer from memory. It works over your documents and over what the court published, never over the open web, and every answer carries the document it came from, which opens in one click. If the fact is not in the case file, the answer says so instead of filling it in. That is the difference we measured in Brazilian legal Portuguese on 13 September 2026.
Does it watch the intimações of the DJEN?
No. The national channel of intimações cannot be read from outside Brazil, and we are not going to tell you we cover it: you have to keep watching your DJEN. What Custodio looks up every day is the case record in the courts that publish their lookup through e-SAJ, and everything it does over the documents you upload works in any court in the country.
How is the case number written?
With the CNJ unified number, which is national and does not change if the case moves up an instance: seven sequential digits, two check digits, the year, the branch, the court and the unit of origin. Custodio takes it with dots and without them. The two check digits matter: with one of them changed, the lookup answers exactly as it does for a case that does not exist.
Does the price include Brazilian taxes?
Paying with an international card, on top of the dollar price your issuer settles the IOF and nothing else. If your firm formalizes the import of the service, the IRRF, the CIDE, the PIS and the COFINS on imports and your municipality's ISS are added. Custodio charges none of them, and what it ends up costing depends on how you are taxed: that is your accountant's call.
