Custodio inside Claude
Connect Custodio to Claude once and ask it about your matters without switching windows: look up a filing number, read where a matter stands and, depending on your plan, have actions prepared for you to confirm.
Three phrases that work on your plan
Replace what is in square brackets with your own detail and paste them into a Claude chat with Custodio switched on. If you have not connected it yet, the three steps are below.
Every plan, the free one included
They read and look things up. They create and change nothing in your firm.

Look up filing number [your filing number] on the court portal and tell me which court has it, who the parties are and what the latest actions are.
- Read a matter
Find my matter [matter name] and tell me where it stands and what has changed since last time.

The court portal lookup works where Custodio offers it in your country. It is recorded as a query, creates no matter and expires after two hours.

On top of reading, they prepare actions. Nothing is created until you confirm it inside Custodio.
- Open a matter
Prepare a judicial matter with filing number [your filing number] and leave it pending my confirmation in Custodio.

You do it once. You share no password and create no API key: Claude opens Custodio's sign-in and receives a permission you can revoke.

Copy the address
In Custodio go to your account, open the section on how you sign in, choose connect an assistant and copy the MCP address with the button next to it. You can also use the address below.
- Step 2
Add it to Claude
In Claude open settings, go to connectors and choose to add a custom connector. Type Custodio Legal as the name, paste the address and confirm; then press connect.
- Step 3
Authorize and switch it on
Claude opens Custodio: sign in, pick the firm, read the permissions and authorize. Then, in a chat, switch Custodio on among the tools and paste one of the phrases.

On Claude's team and enterprise plans, an owner has to enable the organization's connectors first. The same address works in ChatGPT and in other clients that support remote MCP servers with OAuth.

Nothing is written without your approval
What Claude prepares stays pending. It is created only when a person at the firm confirms it inside Custodio.
Revoke it whenever you want
You can withdraw Claude's access from your account at any time, or ask for it in writing at [email protected].
What people ask before connecting it
What does each plan include?
Connecting Claude and reading through it is in every plan with an active subscription, the free one and Solo included, and so is looking up a filing number on the court portal where Custodio offers that lookup. Preparing actions, such as opening a matter, is in Pro, Max and Teams.
Can Claude create or change anything on its own?
No. Claude prepares and you confirm inside Custodio: no tool writes your firm's data without a person's approval.
What happens with the court portal lookup?
It is recorded as a query, not as a matter: it does not count toward your plan's matter allowance and is deleted after two hours. It only enters your firm's data if a person adds it.
Does it work with ChatGPT or another assistant?
Yes, with any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth: the address is the same. We have already tested the ChatGPT connection; the steps on this page are Claude's.
What does the assistant's provider see?
What Claude reads from Custodio enters your conversation with that assistant, and your contract with its provider applies there, not ours: your client's model providers are not Custodio subprocessors. Connect only accounts you control. Section 22 of the terms spells it out.
