What the Judiciary's Portal de Acceso Digital is
Filings, requests, submissions and online lookups, with prior registration. What the portal does, where it runs today and which Judiciary lookups need no account.

Acceso Digital is the platform the Dominican Judiciary launched on 26 April 2024 so that citizens and lawyers can handle filings, requests, document submissions and closing briefs online, as well as lookups, 24 hours a day, according to its own announcement.
Using it requires registering first; registration is done online, from a computer or a phone. That sets it apart from the Judiciary’s two public lookups — the case search by NUC and the Rol Nacional de Audiencias — which answer with no account.
Roll-out is gradual, by subject area and judicial department: at launch it ran as a pilot in the civil and commercial courts of first instance of the Distrito Nacional and La Vega, and the announcement sets no date for covering the whole country.

Go in from the Judiciary’s website
The platform is available from poderjudicial.gob.do, and its direct address is portal.poderjudicial.gob.do.
Register online
Prior registration is mandatory and is done from a computer or a phone. If you need help, the Judiciary offers remote assistance through its Contact Centre.
Pick the filing
A request, the submission of a document or a closing brief, or a lookup on the case.
Check that the court already runs on the platform
Roll-out moves by subject area and judicial department: a court that has not joined yet keeps receiving filings the usual way.
A case file that follows itself

What to know before using it
The platform is still expanding; it helps to know where it stands today.
- Not every court runs on the platform: the Judiciary is extending it by subject area and department, with no published date for covering the whole country.
- It requires prior registration: it is not for a quick lookup on someone else’s case. That is what the public NUC search and the Rol Nacional de Audiencias are for.
- It does not, on its own, tell you what happens in cases that are not handled through the platform.
- The official announcement publishes no availability commitment and no expansion schedule.

Frequently asked questions about the Portal de Acceso Digital
Do I need an account to use the Portal de Acceso Digital?
Yes: the Judiciary requires you to register before using it, and registration is done online. The public case search by NUC and the Rol Nacional de Audiencias, on the other hand, need no account.
Does the portal cover every subject area?
Not yet. It started as a pilot in the civil and commercial courts of first instance of the Distrito Nacional and La Vega, and the Judiciary is extending it gradually, by subject area and judicial department.
Does using the portal cost anything?
The Judiciary’s announcement mentions no charge for using the platform; whatever a specific filing may cost — a certified copy, for example — is set by the court, not by the platform.
Is it the same as the public NUC case search?
No: the NUC search is a separate tool, with no account, to see a case file’s proceedings. Acceso Digital requires registration and is for managing the case: filings, requests and submissions.
