What Custodio watches in Ecuador
- The eSATJE, every day. Custodio checks the registered case once a day, overnight, and compares the result against the previous check so it only flags what actually changed.
- Both parties. The lookup covers the plaintiff and the defendant, not only the case number.
- The number format. Before saving a case, Custodio validates that the number matches
PPCCJ-YYYY-NNNNN; a mistyped number is not watched in silence. - Ecuador's calendar. Deadlines are counted on the country's business days, with the national holidays of article 65 of the Labour Code, as reformed in 2016.
- The ARCO deadline. The LOPDP gives 15 calendar days for the five rights of access, rectification, cancellation, opposition and portability; Custodio computes it against that same law.
- AI over your own documents. What you upload to a matter — not generic case law — is what the AI reads to summarize, answer questions with the source document cited, and draft a filing.
What is still out of scope
- Judicial notices or publications. Ecuador has no separate channel for that: a case's status lives inside the eSATJE itself, which is where Custodio already looks.
- The COGEP's procedural deadline catalogue. The computation rules exist and are citable, but no Ecuadorian procedural term is curated yet the way other countries' are — claiming otherwise would promise a catalogue nobody has compiled.
- Exchange rate. Ecuador is dollarized: there is no reference rate to show under the price, because none is needed.
- A verified bar registry. The Judiciary Council's Foro de Abogados hasn't been probed yet; Custodio doesn't show a badge it can't back up.
