How Custodio follows an Ecuadorian case
You find your client’s cases
You type your client's national ID, RUC or name and the Función Judicial system answers which cases they have, as plaintiff and as defendant; you tick the ones to watch. If you already have the number, you register it directly: the Ecuadorian format is PPCCJ-YYYY-NNNNN and Custodio validates it when you save it, so one extra digit doesn't leave you following somebody else's case.
Custodio checks the portal every day
Custodio queries the system once a day, overnight, for every open case you have registered. Nothing to click and nothing to remember.
It spots which filing is new
It compares what the system returns today against what it already had stored and flags what wasn't there: an order, a movement in the proceeding, a change in the state of the case.
It warns you with the source, not with an empty alert
The alert arrives with the filing that caused it and its date, inside the matter file for that case. You read what the court wrote before deciding what to do.

Ecuador's business-day calendar, the case-number format validated as you type it and, in COGEP proceedings, the deadline proposed as a candidate with its article, which a person confirms. It does not cover the COIP, the LOGJCC, the COA or the Tax Code, and it does not include regional recesses or the annual bridge-holiday decree.
ARCO rights: an access, rectification, deletion or objection request arriving through the public channel is handled under the terms of the LOPDP, counted on the Ecuadorian calendar.
Custodio watches what the Función Judicial publishes in its public lookup: a case under legal confidentiality does not appear there for anybody from the outside.

Do I have to load the case numbers one by one?
Custodio searches both sides, plaintiff and defendant, so a client who was sued doesn't fall through. You type the national ID, the RUC or the name and the Función Judicial system answers that person's or company's cases, with the case number, the action and the filing date; you tick the ones to watch and the detail arrives when you import.
How often does Custodio check the Judicial Function system?
Once a day, overnight, for every open case you have registered. What's new shows up in Custodio's bell and, at 6:30 a.m., in a single email with the updates for all your cases. If the judicial unit recorded nothing, it doesn't interrupt you.
Which public source does Custodio follow in Ecuador?
The Función Judicial case lookup, which is the country's public source: the state of the case and the filings the judicial unit records. That is what Custodio checks every day, and what backs every alert.
Which case number does it accept?
The Ecuadorian format PPCCJ-YYYY-NNNNN: five or more digits of province, canton and judicial unit, four for the year and five for the sequential. If the number is not in that shape, Custodio says so when you save it instead of accepting it and finding nothing.
How does Custodio help me with deadlines?
Custodio picks up the filing in the first overnight check after the judicial unit records it and sends it to you in the 6:30 a.m. email, so you count the term from the date of the event and not from the day you found out. It gives you that exact date, the source behind it and Ecuador's business-day calendar, with the holidays of article 65 of the Código del Trabajo and their transfers. For COGEP proceedings, Custodio also proposes the deadline with its article, as a candidate you confirm; it does not cover other codes, regional recesses or the annual bridge-holiday decree.
